Rules of the board

overbid.in is a weekly ranking of Indian brands, ordered by how much each one has put in this week. These are the rules everyone plays by.

₹50 more

Every Monday
  1. Most rupees this week ranks highest

Each brand's rank comes from the total of its paid bids since Monday. The biggest total is #1, the next is #2, and so on. Nothing else counts: not clicks, not followers, not how long a brand has been listed.

  2. Bids are whole rupees

One bid is anything from ₹49 to ₹1,00,000, in whole rupees. GST is included in what you see. The − and + buttons move the amount by ₹50, and show the rank it would reach before you pay.

  3. Passing a brand takes ₹50 more

To move above a brand, your new total has to beat its total by at least ₹50. A bid that would pass it by less isn't accepted; you'll be told what passes it, or what keeps you just behind. This stops brands leapfrogging each other a rupee at a time.

  4. Ties go to whoever got there first

If two brands have the same total, the one that reached it first stays ahead. Matching a total never passes it.

  5. Bids add up, and anyone can back a brand

Every bid for a brand adds to its total for the week. The owner can bid again to climb, and anyone else can back a brand that's on the board from its page. Backing a brand doesn't make you its owner or let you change its listing.

  6. The board starts again every Monday

A week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 India time (IST). At midnight on Monday every total goes back to ₹0 and the race starts again. Brands keep their own pages, and last week's bids don't carry over.

  7. One category per brand

Each brand picks one category, and is ranked both on the whole board and within its category:

    D2CFood & DrinkFashion & BeautySaaS & TechServicesCreatorsLocal

  8. Live as soon as you pay

A new brand goes on the board the moment its first payment succeeds, with no waiting for review. Right after paying you add its name, tagline and description, and you get a private link to change them later. Keep that link to yourself: anyone with it can edit your listing.

  9. Clicks are counted for you

Every link to your brand from the board or its page goes through overbid.in and is counted for the week, so you can see what your spot brought in. Links are marked as sponsored.

  10. Keep it real and allowed

List only a brand you own or represent, with accurate details. Betting, adult content, tobacco and alcohol, unregistered lenders and crypto schemes, political ads, fake engagement and hidden or chat-group links aren't allowed. A brand that breaks the rules is taken off the board; the Terms say when bids are refunded.
