Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026.
These terms cover overbid.in: the public leaderboard, brand pages, the waitlist and paying to bid. By using the site, listing a brand or paying for a bid, you agree to them, to the Rules of the board and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't list a brand or pay.
Who runs overbid.in
overbid.in is run by Ankit Sharma, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). You can reach us at ankit.nyc26@gmail.com about anything on this page.
What a bid buys
overbid.in is a paid ranking. Every spot on the board is a paid placement, labelled as sponsored, and not a review, award or recommendation by us.
A bid buys visibility on the board for as long as your brand's total holds its rank. It does not buy traffic, clicks, followers, sales, a search ranking or a fixed spot: anyone can put in more and pass you. Links from the board to brands are marked as sponsored, so they are not sold as SEO backlinks. Click counts are what our site recorded, not a promise of what you'll get.
How the board works
- Bids are in whole rupees, from ₹49 to ₹1,00,000 each.
- Brands rank by the total of their paid bids this week. A week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 India time (IST); on Monday every brand starts again at ₹0.
- If two brands have the same total, the one that reached it first stays ahead.
- A new brand goes on the board as soon as its first payment succeeds. Anyone can back a brand that's already on the board, but only its owner should list it.
- We may change minimums, categories or how the board looks. The amount and the rank it takes are shown before you pay, and what you see when you pay is what applies to that bid.
Who can list a brand
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- You may only list a brand, website or Instagram account that you own or are allowed to represent. If you list for a company, you confirm you can act for it.
- The brand must be real, and its website or profile must show who runs it and how to contact them.
- What you enter (name, tagline, description, website) must be accurate, and must not copy or pretend to be someone else.
Not allowed
You can't list, or link to:
- Betting, gambling, real-money games, lotteries or prize schemes.
- Adult or sexual content, dating or escort services.
- Tobacco, vapes, alcohol (including surrogate ads), or drugs and medicines that need a prescription, or treatments that make "magic" claims.
- Loan apps or lenders that aren't registered with the RBI, crypto schemes, "guaranteed returns", or investment tips without SEBI registration.
- Political parties, candidates or campaigns.
- Fake reviews, followers or engagement; counterfeit goods; pirated content.
- Weapons, or anything else that's illegal in India.
- Hate, harassment, or content that misleads, defames or exploits anyone.
- Links that hide where they go (link shorteners, redirect chains), or chat and group invite links (WhatsApp, Telegram and similar).
You also may not tamper with the site: faking clicks, scraping the board, or getting around its limits.
Payments, GST and invoices
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which sells the bid to you as merchant of record. Prices are in rupees and include GST. You can pay by UPI or card. Dodo's own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment, and Dodo sends your receipt and GST invoice. We never see your card or UPI details.
Refunds
Bids start working the moment your payment succeeds: the brand goes on the board and the amount counts towards its total. So bids are final. We don't refund a bid because the brand was passed, the week reset, clicks were lower than hoped, or you changed your mind.
We do refund in full:
- When you were charged but the bid never reached the board because of a fault on our side, or you were charged twice for the same bid.
- When we take a brand off the board, for every bid made for it, unless it was removed for fraud, impersonation, breaking the law, or a chargeback.
Refunds go back to the way you paid. Banks and UPI apps usually take a few working days to show them. Please write to us before raising a chargeback; a chargeback without a valid reason means the brand comes off the board.
Our right to remove a listing
We may shorten, re-categorise, hide or remove a listing or brand page, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law, if someone with rights in it complains, or if it puts the site or its visitors at risk. Refunds then follow the section above.
What you let us show
When you list a brand, you let us show its name, tagline, description, category, link and logo or site icon on overbid.in, on its brand page and in posts about the board, and resize or crop them to fit. You keep ownership of your brand. Brand names and logos on the site belong to their owners and appear only to identify the brand that was listed.
Complaints about a listing
If a listing uses your trademark, copyright or name without permission, or you think it breaks the law, email ankit.nyc26@gmail.com with your name and contact details, the brand page on overbid.in, what the problem is, and a statement that you own the rights or may act for the owner. We may hide the listing while we look into it, and may share your notice with the brand.
Grievance officer
Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, our grievance officer is Ankit Sharma, at ankit.nyc26@gmail.com. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
Links to brands
Brand links take you off overbid.in. We don't check brands' claims, prices or products, and we aren't responsible for their sites or what they sell. Buying from a listed brand is between you and that brand.
The site as it is
We run overbid.in as it is and as available. It may be slow, down, or show numbers that are briefly out of date. We may change or stop features. When we change these terms we update the date at the top; using the site after that means you accept the new terms. A bid already paid for stays under the terms in force when you paid, unless the law requires otherwise.
Limits on our liability
As far as Indian law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, sales or goodwill. For any claim about a bid, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Your responsibility
If someone makes a claim against us because of your listing, your website or profile, your payment or chargeback, or your breaking these terms, you'll cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first, so we can try to sort it out. If we can't, disputes go to the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, India.
